A breeze on a winter afternoon.

The same breeze, once contained and confined in the shackles of a bansuri, turns into music.

I love this take by none other than Rumi.

My life's passing me by, like a breeze on a winter afternoon. I have the power as gifted by the Creator, to choose my own jail, my own structure, my own containment. Life's either a gust of wind, or a melody for the ages.

I love the idea of choosing my own jail. And I like the word jail instead of structure in this case. It mentally preps me that "I am not going to possibly like what I am about to do".

And what I am about to do is remind myself of the Structure I need (the Reminder Rituals^TM being set up).

That reminder alone is enough. The last few days, I have been sleeping late (anything after 10PM is late for me now). And that's why I've been waking up late (7AM is ridiculously late, Fajr is qaza, world has moved on, and I am yawning into existence).

It's painful - it should be - to see the opportunities just gently blow away, like a breeze on a winter afternoon.

Cage it, tame it, discipline it.

That's part of the job. And I'm lucky to have it.

Bismilla.
