Marketsman

by | Nov 3, 2013

Marketsman noun
a person who is skilled in launching a product/service in a market.

Riffing on how Merriam-Webster defines a Marksman as “a person (especially a man) who is skilled in shooting a gun at a target”

Came up with this word while writing about people who are skilled – through practice and direct testing in the field – at starting businesses. A specific skill at bringing an idea to life, and taking it to the market successfully.

Note: A Marketsman may or may not use his/her skill for good. Just like a Marksman.

Also note, there is no Marketsperson, or even worse; Marketswoman. It’s Marketsman, one word.
